Hello,

muLinux just keeps getting better. Thankyou for a great mini-distribution.

I have seen some discussion about a Print Server for muLinux. As with other
floppy or RAM based systems this is usually not practical.

I have attached the code for an LPD compatible Print Server which does NOT
spool documents. This makes this program suitable for such systems. It
relies on spooling at the workstations, which usually happens anyway on
Windows or Linux PCs.

I am a college teacher and I wrote the program as an addition to a project
that our current final semester students are working on. They have built a
Linux based TCP/IP and IPX router for our college network lab. The program
allows the router PC to act as a simple Print Server or Print Sharer. The
program is based on some information that I found on the "Net" about writing
LPD programs.

It seems to work fine in our lab, which is very lightly loaded. It should
also work fine for home or small office users. It requires only 10K of space
on the distribution disk.

Please feel free to include it in muLinux if you wish. It is useful to us
and may suit other people also. The only documentation is at the top of the
source code file. I would appreciate a copy of any fixes or improvements you
make.
